I consider myself a patriotic person, and while you may wonder what that has to do with real estate, it certainly does. If you are considering purchasing a home in a homeowners association (HOA), be sure to let your realtor know if displaying the flag is important to you. You will want to check with the HOA to see what their rules are. Some HOAs do not allow flags, while others only allow certain flags. For example, my HOA only allows the American and Arizona flags to be displayed, and they must be taken down at the appropriate time every evening.
